the challenge
A redesigned homepage experience for the DC Department of Public Works, focused on helping residents quickly access key services, find timely information, and navigate agency resources with more clarity.
our solution
This project brought together UX thinking, content strategy, visual design, and public-sector communications for a high-traffic government agency serving residents across Washington, DC.
I worked on redesigning the DPW homepage to make complex city services easier to access and understand. The work focused on improving the user journey, organizing high-priority services, creating clearer pathways to resident requests, and building a more flexible homepage structure that could support seasonal campaigns, emergency updates, and everyday service needs.

the result
The final direction gave DPW a stronger digital front door — one that feels more organized, resident-focused, and easier to manage, while showing how thoughtful design can make public information more accessible and actionable.
